| Luke Edwin |
Luke has worked with his father Gary Edwin, for
the past 19 years and has developed a similar passion for teaching.
He completed a bachelor of Health Science at Griffith University in
1996, where his majors were biomechanics, health, fitness, and sports
management. He has also completed the PGA accredited certificate in
golf management.
Luke has spent a great deal of time in the United States and Europe
working with various tour players, including Jan Stephenson, Gavin
Coles and Peter Lonard. He started the Junior Development Program
at Gary Edwin Golf centre's previous base at Hope Island, and still
works developing junior golf within Australia.
Whilst in the united states Luke did alot of research into the
biomechanics of putting technique. He believes good putters have
common denominators which can be taught.
He has also developed a prototype putting aid which is currently in
early production with Dunlop Sports and will appear in the Gary Edwin
game improving products line later in the year.
Tour players that currently use luke to refine their putting, include:
- Rod Pampling
- Gavin Coles
- Scott Barr
- Jan Stephenson
- Karen Lunn
- Brad Lamb
- Matt Ballard
- Scott Gardiner
- Grant Dodd
- Jason King
