In a fitting ceremony surrounded by some of the world’s best instructors, Gary Edwin was named the 2006 PGA Teacher of the Year today at the Asia Pacific Srixon PGA Coaching Summit.

"Gary is a fine example of the standard of PGA Professional coaches we have in Australia, and his achievements are an indication of how deserving he is of this prestigious award", PGA President Geoff Scott said.

"It’s an honour to win the award particularly with the quality of the other coaches who were nominated," Edwin said upon receiving the award.

Gary received the award during day two of the Asia Pacific Srixon PGA Coaching Summit, where Tiger Woods coach Hank Haney and top LPGA player coach Mike McGetrick are delivering keynote presentations.
