Ben Parker shot a course record 63, 9 under par the first round of The Coburg Brose Open on the Renault European Development Tour ( www.epdtour.com ) Ben followed this up with a 66 on Day 2 and led the three day tournament by 2 shots. A 2 under par 70 left Ben tied for 2nd after the final round. Ben failed to birdie the par 5, 8th and 9th holes both of which he had eagled in the 1st round. The tournament winner, Max Kramer shot 63 (equal course record) on the final day winning the tournament by two shots.
Ben recently spent two weeks in Australia working with Gary at The Glades. Ben's Father, Tim is a teaching professional in Hamburg, Germany and his sister, Florentyna recently had her first win on the European Ladies Tour. She followed it up last week with 4th place in the Portugal Open.
Ben who has been recovering from a shoulder injury for the past couple of years is playing his way back via the European Development Tour.
